Our Correspondent Karin Avila Visits “Venice Of The North”, Wrocław Poland
Poland’s third largest city, Wroclaw, is full of surprises. This humble city has been through multiple regimes over the centuries and established its identity as a European Capital of Culture in 2016. Known as the “Venice of the North,” this vibrant, walkable city on the Oder River is a colourful mesh of old and new. Brimming with students who attend one of the more than 20 universities, Wroclaw has a young and energetic vibe. Karin Avila spent three days exploring the city, diving into its history, and sampling local cuisine.
