Adrian Williams Accor Pacific COO On Corporate Penthouse Suites, Melbourne Hotel Boom -Graeme Kemlo
Graeme Kemlo spoke last week about the hotel boom that is currently happening in Melbourne and the potential for there to be 30,000 hotel rooms in that city by 2029. Well since then Graeme spoke with Adrian Williams, the chief operating officer of Accor Pacific, one of the largest hotel operators in the world. He’s a born and bred Melburnian and he tells us he hopes the boom doesn’t end, as there are more of his group’s 46 hotel brands still to come to this city. As well as showcasing a new style of luxury – corporate accommodation on level 45 of Shadow Play by Peppers at Southbank – which is not one penthouse, but five penthouse suites each with three bedrooms and panoramic views covering all points of the compass Adrian , he reckons Melbourne could get to 50,000 hotel rooms.
