Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes iis Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office and during a recent visit to Macao, Graeme Kemlo asked her about the five year plan to boost meetings and conventions in Macau by targeting both local (that is greater China) and international conferences. It is part of a new ‘one plus four’ strategy to diversify the economy to include four new industries rather than relying on just one – gaming tourism.
