The famous ski resort of Vail, Colorado, turns its attention to other outdoor activities in the summer. The surrounding White River National Forest in the Rocky Mountains provides a natural playground for hiking, biking, rafting, fly fishing, and camping. Meanwhile, Vail runs these gondolas up the mountain for assorted family fun like a giant coaster, tubing, climbing, zip-lining and nature walks. After a pause for the spring melt, Vail Village and all its restaurants come back to life.
