Chocolate Entrepreneur Leanne Neeland Grows Her Regional Victorian Tourism Business -Graeme Kemlo
Graeme Kemlo chats with entrepreneur Leanne Neeland about her move from Western Australia to Victoria in 2012 to visit the wine regions of Victoria and find a tourism-related business to establish. With husband Ian she found a niche in chocolate and ice cream, establishing the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery soon after. Now Leanne has three locations and a fourth one on the way. She buys her couverture Belgian chocolate by the container load, using 3500 tonnes a year, serving thousands of family and group visitors to her premises every day and employing more than 200 staff plus 19 specialist chocolatiers, a number of them trained in Europe. Leanne spoke with Graeme earlier this week.
