In this week’s Worth1000Words image, Karin Avila explains the photo she took in her village of Teulada , Karin writes: “In front of City Hall in Teulada, Spain, local students—both boys and girls—gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day. It was one of several events planned throughout the week designed to celebrate the accomplishments of Spanish women and empower a new generation to continue to fight for equality. One of many celebrations throughout Spain, a group of young women stood to the side proudly holding a white sign decorated with colorful butterflies that read, “Juntes Imparables,” meaning “Unstoppable Together” in Valenciano.
