My Street Library Introduces Locals, Leaves A Great Feeling -Carolyne Jasinski
A Street Library is described as a beautiful, home for your books in your front yard. And so when Catrolyna Jasinski was given a Street Library kit for Christmas she couldn’t wait to get it up and share nine of her books with neighbours and friends she hadn’t met yet. But pretty soon she had more than nine books as the community shared her reading. Among those left behind were two new books by a local author, whom Carolyne emailed and they caught up for coffee. She reckons it was a great feeling having the Street Library in place and she has not added to her original library since the local community has embraced the idea warmly.
