Sarah Coote And The Great Red Crab Migration On Christmas Island -Graeme Kemlo
There’s currently aa natural phenomenon playing out on the Australian territory of Christmas Island 1500 km north west of Perth in the Indian Ocean. We’re told that tens of millions of red crabs are migrating from the rainforest down to the sea to lay their eggs and until about February 4 they have priority over cars and other vehicles as they cross the road. Graeme Kemlo spoke today to the Destination Marketing Manager, Sarah Coote, who explained what it was all about, Sarah also talked about the tourism potential of this very remote community with its pristine rainforest and waters.
