TWR Wine Expert Tyson Stelzer On French Champagne, Aussie Fizz, Christmas Cheers -Graeme Kemlo
Tyson Stelzer, our resident wine expert has been a favourite member of our team amongst listeners for more than nine years and today he tells me the things he does around wine, especially sparkling wine and champagne that listeners can also get involved with. He also mentions his favourite drinks for the festive season: expect to pay $100 for quality French champagne, but don’t pay half price for a poor import, knstead buy a quality Australian sparkling – Bellebonne by Natalie Fryer from Tasmania, Deviation Road from Adelaide Hills or Salinger vintage cuvee from Seppelt Victoria.
With a hot festive roast and all the trimmings trimmings try a sparkling red he says, suggesting Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz (10 year’s celared and about $100) Bor sparkling shiraz from leasdale Langhorne Creek, or Seppelt’s The Original (both about $50).
If you must have plum pudding, you need a Rutherglen muscat (chilled)
Thanks Tyson.Read More
