Restaurateur Margo Llewellyn of Sacred Rice on Bali Food Scene -Graeme Kemlo
Graeme Kemlo chatted with Margo Llewellyn at her Sacred Rice restaurant in Ubud, Bali. Margo comes from a Melbourne restaurant family. One day in 2013, the family sold up everything and quit Melbourne for Bali. Sacred Rice, which is a Balinese-inspired open-air pavilion amongst the rice paddies and tropical vegetation of Ubud. Margot has some interesting comments on the rise of the culinary experience in Bali where Sacred Rice is renowned as one of the province’s best restaurants with its casual fine dining approach with one sitting per night only, and just 40 diners a night.
